You’re as bad as each other: Korean court rules both Apple and Samsung are at fault in the patents battle rages on.
The Seoul based court ordered a partial ban on the sale of select Apple and Samsung mobile devices, reports AP<\/a>, believed to be the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPad, iPad 2 and Samsung Galaxy S2. <\/p>\n

Apple accused Samsung of copying the look and feel of its iPhone and iPad devices, something which Samsung firmly denied and, in retaliation, accused the iPhone maker of infringing upon its patented telcommunications technology. <\/p>\n

However, the court today found Apple guilty of breaching two of Samsung’s patents and ordered it to pay 40 million won ($US35,000) in damages. <\/p>\n

“Based on the similarity in these features, it is not possible to assert that the two designs are similar,” the court ruled against Apple. <\/p>\n

However, Samsung was also ordered to pay to pay 25 million won for violating one of Apple’s patents, initial reports indicate.<\/p>\n

The much awaited verdict in the same trial going on in the US and could cost either side a sizeable sum – several billion dollars in Samsung’s case- if Apple has its way.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
