{"id":84551,"date":"2017-07-06T16:38:15","date_gmt":"2017-07-06T05:38:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/smartoffice.com.au\/westpac-web-site-crashes-again-second-time-this-week-2\/"},"modified":"2017-07-06T16:38:15","modified_gmt":"2017-07-06T05:38:15","slug":"westpac-web-site-crashes-again-second-time-this-week-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staging.strixdevelopment.net\/smartoffice\/2017\/07\/06\/westpac-web-site-crashes-again-second-time-this-week-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Westpac Web Site Crashes Again Second Time This Week"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Westpac&#8217;s Internet banking services has again crashed leaving tens of thousands of customers without access to their accounts, on what is a traditional busy Internet banking day, due to many employees being paid on a Thursday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">This is the second time this week that Westpac customers have been denied access to Internet banking. <\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">On Tuesday customers of the bank that uses the slogan &#8220;We are a bank that you can bank on&#8221; were left without account access for over 7 hours.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">On Tuesday Westpac blamed an overnight Authorised Program Analysis Report (APAR) patch for their problems however this time there is no explanation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Insiders who have contacted SmartHouse claim that the crash could relate to &#8220;security&#8221; issues due constant Trojan attacks. <\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">In 2008 the Westpac online site was down for five days due to the Company failing to install proper backup that allowed their systems to be restored from a mirror site after a technician pulled a power cable at the Companies North Ryde Processing Centre.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The site which has been described as one of the &#8220;worst in Australia&#8221; processes millions of transaction daily.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Westpac&#8217;s Internet banking services has again crashed leaving tens of thousands of customers without access to their accounts, on what is a traditional busy Internet banking day, due to many employees being paid on a Thursday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":42,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"gallery","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[28,8],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-84551","post","type-post","status-publish","format-gallery","hentry","category-archive","category-hardware","post_format-post-format-gallery"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.2 -
