{"id":83059,"date":"2017-07-04T16:33:29","date_gmt":"2017-07-04T05:33:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/smartoffice.com.au\/cellnet-share-sales-spike\/"},"modified":"2017-07-04T16:33:29","modified_gmt":"2017-07-04T05:33:29","slug":"cellnet-share-sales-spike","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staging.strixdevelopment.net\/smartoffice\/2017\/07\/04\/cellnet-share-sales-spike\/","title":{"rendered":"Cellnet Share Sales Spike"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sales of Cellnet shares have accelerated significantly in recent days, closely following its reported $1.6 million loss and the departure of Sony, Apple and Kyocera as vendor partners.<\/p>\n<p  class=\"MsoNormal\">Despite having sold only 200,000 units last week, on<br \/>\nMonday this week alone investors in the large Queensland-based IT distribution<br \/>\nbusiness sold off 413,000 units of Cellnet stock.<\/p>\n<div >\n<\/div>\n<p  class=\"MsoNormal\">From a price of $1.20 in February this year, its<br \/>\nshares have fallen to 80 cents recently and have hovered around the 80 and 90<br \/>\ncent mark since June 2007.<\/p>\n<div >\n<\/div>\n<p  class=\"MsoNormal\">Speaking to Australian Reseller News in June, Cellnet<br \/>\nChief Executive Mark Bloomer attributed the price falls to two main factors. <\/p>\n<div >\n<\/div>\n<p  class=\"MsoNormal\">He estimated Telstra&#8217;s appointment of Brightstar as<br \/>\nits sole handset distributor had cost Cellnet around $40 million in revenues,<br \/>\nand that the Mercury Interactive demerger had wiped around 35 cents off<br \/>\nCellnet&#8217;s share price.<\/p>\n<div >\n<\/div>\n<p  class=\"MsoNormal\">&#8220;It&#8217;s<br \/>\nbeen hampered over the last two years by significant stock write-downs and<br \/>\nridiculous amounts of management change,&#8221; he told ARN, while emphasising his<br \/>\nbelief that there was no need to panic.<\/p>\n<div >\n<\/div>\n<p  class=\"MsoNormal\">&#8220;We need to<br \/>\nget back to basics so the business can climb back within a controlled<br \/>\nenvironment.
