Toshiba has launched its new Satellite series of notebook PCs, which boast more powerful processors, better graphics, as well as an HD DVD drive for the top-end model.

The new Toshiba Satellite X200

Toshiba Australia Product Marketing Manager, Anthony Geronimo said, “Australians are increasingly viewing their notebook computer as an extension of their personality and their lifestyle. Notebook owners want a product that is power-packed for functionality, yet highly fashionable for style while on-the-go.  Toshiba’s latest consumer range offers the most extensive variety of notebook flavours and sizes to meet the unique needs of each individual’s mobile lifestyle.” 

Toshiba is now giving users the option of choosing AMD or Intel processors for the new Satellite series. The new line-up also comes with Microsoft Windows Vista (Home Premium, Ultimate, or Business) or Windows XP Pro pre-installed in case users do not want to shift to the newer OS.

In line with the company’s design focus, the new notebooks feature a high gloss, onyx blue finish and blue LED lights, as well as an embossed silver logo and silver keyboards to complement the new blue trimmings.
