Gone are the days when an LCD projector was so big it had to remain put in the boardroom – a new LCD projector from Sharp offers top-quality XGA technology but is small and portable enough to swap from room to room.

The new True XGA Portable LCD Projector XG-C435X offers compact body, ideal for both fixed and portable applications, with benefits including easy installation, low maintenance and simple operation, says Sharp.

The model offers a handy side carry handle plus inbuilt damage protection offered by the projector’s recessed lens, making portability safe and simple.
 
While the portability of the unit is impressive, it also packs some high-tech features, including superb image quality and excellent clarity thanks to native XGA resolution (1024 x 768) and high 4000 ANSI lumens brightness, which is particularly useful in brightly lit office environments, says Sharp.
 
Screen sizes range from 102cm up to 1,270cm (500 inch), with an easily replaceable lens system that includes a standard 1:1.2 zoom lens as well as four optional exchangeable lenses.

The XG-C435X also boasts a Sharp Unique Network System, which enables web browser control such as remote access and management, diagnosis and auto email alert as well as a service and support link, all via inbuilt firmware.

Further network control options are available by downloading Sharp Display Manager onto the main computer from the Sharp Global website.
 
The XG-C435X also has a wide variety of interfaces including a DVI terminal compatible with conventional players and computers and various video and composite inputs as well as two stereo audio inputs.
 
The Sharp XG-C435X retails for $4,799 with a standard lens included.
